Are you no longer active on Instagram, but don’t want to delete your Instagram account. We’ll show you how to disable it temporarily.
There are various reasons why one does not want to use Instagram for a certain period of time. Deactivate Instagram Account
Note: You cannot deactivate your account in the Instagram app. To do this, you must log in via the browser ‘s Instagram website .
Step1: Open the Instagram website via your browser and enter your login details there . Then click ” Sign In “.
Step2: After logging in, either click on the profile icon at the top right or on your profile photo + profile name on the right.
Step3: You will get to your profile page . Here click on ” Edit profile “.
Step4: Scroll further down this menu. On the left, click Temporarily disable my account .
Step5: Before you can deactivate your account, you must choose a reason for deactivation . To do this, click the arrow on the right under ” Why do you want to deactivate your account ” and several options will appear.
Step6: You must then enter your password for confirmation . Click ” Temporarily Deactivate Account ” and the process will be completed by logging out of your account . The account is now suspended until you next log in.

Quick Start Guide
Sign in to the Instagram website through your browser .
Click on the profile icon in the top right or on your profile picture + profile name on the right.
On your profile page click on ” edit profile “.
In the menu there, scroll further down to ” Temporarily disable my account ” and click on it.
Select a reason for deactivation and enter your password .
Click Temporarily Disable Account and you will be signed out. The account is suspended until you next log in.
